I met this wonderful woman the other day at camp. Her name is Evelyn, she's 24 and engaged to the kitchen manager & campfire leader/chaplain at Timberline Ranch, Daniel. I talked to her a bit and learned some really neat things.

Example, she is a virgin. She made a promise 10 YEARS ago that she would remain pure in body, mind and spirit until she was married. To signify her promise, she wore a key around her neck as a reminder/symbol of her purity. She has never taken that key off. I found that really powerful. To trust that God would provide for her, that he would ensure her joy really struck me.

But as well, she told me that she didn't just wait for God to put her future husband in her life. She ACTIVELY waited. She devoted her life first to God, and not the man she hoped to one day marry. She served, grew in faith and educated herself in God's word. The result was, as I clearly saw, a wise, beautiful (both outward and inward) woman of God! As she explained, she made sure to "wait and hope for and expect the LORD." (Psalm 27:14, AMP)

She has inspired me in the biggest way possible. She has promised to keep in contact with me as much as she can. I have made the same promise that she did 10 years ago. I promise to keep my body, mind and spirit pure for God.

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, NIV)

And I will honour God with my body. Maybe this is too deep for dA, but do I really care?

No. Praise and glory can be given to God anywhere.
